The Cleveland Sight Center (CSC) is unique relative to other organizations that serve those with vision impairments. CSC is dedicated to increasing awareness and support of the education, empowerment and employment of clients with vision loss and their families. CSC is one of the few organizations that provides services for all ages, from infant to senior, and includes assistance for caregivers and families.

Level Seven’s personal approach to their partnership with CSC enabled them to design and implement an accessible website, a key component of successfully reaching CSC’s unique audience. Level Seven used Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) to develop the site to be tier AA compliant, matching ADA compliance standards.

Level Seven’s passion for understanding the user and developing an experience that streamlined their process is a key differentiator their team embodies. Combined with their development expertise, Level Seven ensured that CSC’s new website would be easily used by screen readers and other tools designed for those with vision impairments.

Based on Level Seven’s approach to the CSC redesign project, the launch of the new website was highly successful. By focusing on user-centered design, the needs of various types of users were met. The new website is better organized, placing priority content at the forefront in the main navigation. New accessibility tools are available on the site to ensure ADA compliance and ease of use for all users. The new CSC website reinforced the organization's efforts to serve those with vision impairments. Level Seven’s expertise and dedication to the organization and users guaranteed a final project that met CSC’s goals.

Our Level Seven Team was extremely dedicated to understanding our needs and goals, from functionality, design, accessibility, and ease of maintenance.  They immersed themselves into our organization’s culture to appreciate our unique requirements, such as ensuring our website content was accessible to people who are blind or have low vision.  Most of all they managed the project very well, holding weekly update meetings and using Basecamp to keep everyone on the project up-to-date, resulting in an on-time launch.  We have been receiving unsolicited compliments about our site ever since.
